Terms and Conditions

For the Supply of Booking Services

These Terms and Conditions apply to all Booking Services provided by eHail in connection with arranging a Driver who provides road passenger transportation services to a Customer.

1. Definitions

“eHail” – The company providing booking services.

“Booking Services” – Accepting bookings and arranging Drivers.

“Customer” – The person making a booking.

“Driver” – A licensed self-employed driver.

“Driver Services” – Transportation provided by the Driver.

“Fare” – Total journey cost including charges.

“Additional Charges” – Parking, tolls, waiting time, cancellations.

“Passengers” – Individuals travelling.

2. Operator Licensing

eHail operates in accordance with private hire regulations and is licensed by Central Bedfordshire Council. All services comply with applicable legal requirements.

3. Provision of Booking Services

eHail provides the following services:

  • Accepting bookings via phone, website, or app
  • Assigning suitable Drivers
  • Monitoring and managing bookings
  • Handling customer support and lost property

Information Required:

  • Name and contact details
  • Pick-up and drop-off location
  • Passengers and luggage details

Important Conditions:

  • Bookings may be refused at discretion
  • Passengers under 16 must be accompanied
  • Delays may occur due to traffic or weather

4. Relationship with Drivers

eHail acts as an agent only. Drivers are independent and provide the transport service directly.

5. Payment for Booking Services

Booking services are free. Network or app charges are the customer’s responsibility. Fees may be introduced in the future.

6. Payment for Driver Services

  • Customers must pay Fare and Additional Charges
  • Payment methods: cash, card, or app
  • Payment due immediately after journey
  • Cancellation or no-show fees may apply

7. Fare Estimates

All fare estimates are approximate and may change due to traffic, weather, or route changes.

8. Customer Responsibilities

  • Be ready on time
  • Respect drivers and vehicles
  • Pay for damages if caused
  • Pay full fare for actual journey

9. Account Customers

Account customers may be invoiced weekly or monthly. Late payments may result in suspension or extra charges.

10. Customer Obligations

  • Use services responsibly
  • Keep login details secure
  • Avoid misuse of the system

11. Liability

eHail is only responsible for foreseeable losses caused by its negligence. Maximum liability is £100.

12. Third-Party Services

eHail is not responsible for third-party apps or external services.

13. Changes to Services

Services may be updated or changed at any time.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

15. Jurisdiction

All disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.

16. Amendments

eHail may update these Terms at any time. Updates take effect once published.
